ELECTRON SOFTWARE ARCHIVE |
|
INTRODUCTION |
Most of the software in this archive has been encoded in UEF tape image format and can be loaded directly into the ElectrEm Acorn Electron emulator. Files stored as disk images (e.g. .ssd, .adf) can also be used with ElectrEm, though the appropriate DFS/ADFS Rom will need to be initialised beforehand. If you can't quite remember the commands for loading programs, be sure to read the comprehensive documentation that accompanies the emulator!
UEF tape files are effectively mirror images of the original cassettes and it is possible to write them back to audio cassette for use with an actual Electron by using the FREEUEF utility available from the ElectrEm homepage. Also available from the same site is MAKEUEF which allows you to create your own UEF files from Electron tapes. Please consider sending in any of your old games or programs that you may have converted for inclusion on this site!
