jBip disk image and source now available at Retrosoftware

Post by jbnbeeb »

Hi,
following Wakefiled 2015, I've now uploaded the game and source for everyone to play over at Retrosoftware.

Link:
http://www.retrosoftware.co.uk/wiki/index.php/Jbiplane

NOTE!!!!!
- There is presently no splash screen or instructions within the game. Instructions - including keys - are on the link above. I'll put instructions etc within the game soon.
- It is a two player game only at present

The game seemed to be well received at the show.

I'd welcome any feedback - and any bug reports :)

Hi jbnbeeb,

I must say that the game did look good in Halifax in december last year but it even looks better now. Great job .... =D> =D>

Hi,
following some feedback, I've updated the controls to be a bit less "twitchy". I've posted updated files over at RetroSoftware with a bit more detail. If you get a moment, I'd be very grateful if any of you could head over there and try out on real or emulated hardware and let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Hi there,

I've now declared jbiplane "released" :!: :D

.. I've ironed out bugs, improved controls, added loading screen and instructions..

You can download the game and source code over at RetroSoftware:
http://www.retrosoftware.co.uk/wiki/index.php/Jbiplane

I've also taken the liberty of updating the RetroSoftware front page, and moved the wiki link from the WIP page to Releases page.

I don't plan on doing any further work on it for time being unless any serious bugs are uncovered.

Thanks to LeeNew, flaxcottage and sydney for hardware compatibility testing (I've only got a real Model B presently). =D> =D>

I couldn't have got this far in my coding adventures without Tricky, Rich Talbot-Watkins, dboddie and Tom Walker so thankyou :) =D> =D>

I've got plans for another game. I'll post when I've got something to show ...

Cheers all,
jbnbeeb
