I'll have one please Daniel, It'll save me cutting even more holes into the master.danielj wrote:Does anyone who's coming want an extension cable made up for their matchbox-co-pro? I'm about to order the bits and obviously it's cheaper to do a whole bunch than just one...

No problem - 4 left.
Ian, if I don't manage to build it beforehand, I'll build it there!

Are you willing to stick one in a jiffy bag and post it ? If so I'd like one if you can let me know the inclusive price, danielj wrote:No problem - 4 left.

No problem, I've not worked it out completely yet but it won't be that much...

I'll bring my spare "micro" version for anyone that wants one.BeebMaster wrote:Can I have an Econet podule please?
Re: Acorn & BBC User Group (ABug) NORTH 31 Jan HALIFAX
Look Ian - it just needs solder and wires! (and yes, it's got a big arc-style econet socket on it)...
Re: Acorn & BBC User Group (ABug) NORTH 31 Jan HALIFAX
I would suggest moving the Econet module nearer the podule connector. The Econet side is less critical. Text is from the Acorn expansion card spec (page 7)danielj wrote:Look Ian - it just needs solder and wires! (and yes, it's got a big arc-style econet socket on it)...
Re: Acorn & BBC User Group (ABug) NORTH 31 Jan HALIFAX
I failed to specify an Ian - nothing's soldered yet so I can do that.
Can you explain the mini one?

I'd like a copro cable too please, ifthere are any left.
Thanks,

Re: Acorn & BBC User Group (ABug) NORTH 31 Jan HALIFAX
Yup... 2 left! Although the last one I won't 100% commit to until it's built, just to give myself some scope for buggering something up...

Ok. I will have the last-but-one fully guaranteed one

Excellent. One tentative one left depending on how much you trust my crimping and ability to identify pin 1...

Re: Acorn & BBC User Group (ABug) NORTH 31 Jan HALIFAX
Ooh thank you! If you don't get round to soldering it, we can do that at Halifax and I'll photograph it all happening!!danielj wrote:Look Ian - it just needs solder and wires! (and yes, it's got a big arc-style econet socket on it)...
I might even insist on a 5-pin DIN socket...
Re: Acorn & BBC User Group (ABug) NORTH 31 Jan HALIFAX
Won't fit unless you want it dangling... the 15pin solution is much much neater.
Meanwhile, the 2p extension leads come to £2.75 a pop (having dredged back through to see how much that ribbon cable cost). Now I just have to work out which box my crimper's residing in!

Okay, all cables are built and tested. All of them work - that means there is still one up for grabs if anyone else wants one?

Could I collect mine at Halifax at the end of the month, please, instead of posting?danielj wrote:Okay, all cables are built and tested. All of them work - that means there is still one up for grabs if anyone else wants one?

Re: Acorn & BBC User Group (ABug) NORTH 31 Jan HALIFAX
Yup - I'm only posting the ones that people have explicitly requested be posted (i.e. people not coming to Halifax). I should say that there are none left now

Hi everyone. Premier Inn have taken payment today! Only 2 weeks to go now, I can't wait!
Are any other members interested in attending as there are still 4 spaces available? What about those on the tentative list (Peter and Colin)? Are you able to make it?

hi Simon, sorry buddy, I'am completely knackered after my 4.5 weeks training in new job, and for traveling, my brand new van has done this in those weeks:sydney wrote:those on the tentative list (Peter and Colin)? Are you able to make it?

Hi mate. Really sorry to hear you're not able to make it. I knew you were busy and spending time away from home so it's not entirely unexpected. Hopefully you'll make it down for August or maybe October/November this year.CMcDougall wrote:hi Simon, sorry buddy, I'am completely knackered after my 4.5 weeks training in new job,
Is anyone bringing an eprom burner with them? I recently got a WE 12 rom board and haven't fitted it yet and don't have any roms to go in it!
Re: Acorn & BBC User Group (ABug) NORTH 31 Jan HALIFAX
Can do! I'll have to dig it out along with all the other bits I'm going to bring.
