If it's anything like last time on the M1, I'll be there hopefully sometime around 5.00pm.

Cheers.

Hullo - the kryoflux software's been updated so it can now clone discs. I've tested it with the key disc for the crystal rainforest, and granny's garden (on the arch) and all seems good. So, if anyone's got anything that's old and protected that they wish to generate a working copy of, bring it along (alongside some fresh media to clone to!) :)

Anyone want me to bring anything in particular?

Small items only as I am coming by train.

I should have about half a suitcase free after allowing for the tea, teapot, china, and toilet rolls for Colin.

I'll be bringing:
LX9Copro prototypes (and JTAG programmer)
A bunch of USB Econet boards (and programmers)
USB Logic analyser
Handheld 'scope
Iron and hot air gear
Beeb with Econet and small LCD.

Just to be clear, I'm not doing any LV-ROM work this weekend. That will have to wait until next Wakefield session.

My friend Mark will be bringing some old development discs that I believe belonged to an ex-Alligata and Gremlin Gremlins employee. I doubt they'd be protected, but it'd be great if we could use your Kryoflux to carefully preserve them! :)

Sorry to hear that you can't make it Alan, I'll drop you a PM later today.

Ok, I'd advise anybody arriving earlier than 8.30pm today to meet at the Premier Inn Brewers Fayre restaurant/bar.

Any later then 8.30pm then head straight to Ziggys in Halifax!

And if you have a tablet / phone / laptop with wireless you could post on this thread to let people know you are here, as the Brewers Fayre has free wireless access......

Cheers,

No problem - I'm bringing the superior disks with me to return to you!

So, I'll have Kryoflux + 5.25/3.5" drives,
Master 512 with data centre and econet + monitor + 3.5" drives.
RiscPC + Monitor + bits to attempt to econet it
De0 Nano
Scope
Soldering Iron
Gallon of IPA & lens tissue for cleaning Dave's grubby floppies.

Will there be interweb connectivity in the hotel? Just trying to work out what I need to download prior to departure...

Right, I've been stuck on the M56 for about an hour now and have barely moved. Just checked the BBC website and there's been a severe multi vehicle accident. Apparently the queues stretch for another 3 junctions.

Anyway, I doubt I'm going to get to the furniture hire company in time to collect the extra tables. So if anybody is able to bring any popup/trestle tables with them that's be ace. The hire place is open again tomorrow morning but I'd rather not do a 1.5hr return trip on Saturday if possible as I'd miss a chunk of the meetup!

Cheers
Dave.

Dave, where's the company? Is it Manchester? How large were the tables? I might be able to bring some along (although probably wouldn't be able to take them back)

...and same from me, does anyone want me to bring anything?

Dave - I've got your repaired B+ in the boot already.
Sydney - I've got a spare keyboard for you.

Anything else? I should be there mid morning.

Mark.

Just seen that I have had an e-mail from Lenny Henry 20 mins before I checked in thanking me for my stay, telling me how much I spent, and hoping I'll come back soon!

I think a time eddy has occurred.
