Acorn & BBC User Group (ABug) NORTH 22 Nov HALIFAX
Re: BBC Micro & Acorn User Group NORTH, 22 Nov HALIFAX
Since there is likely to be an econet in Halifax, I was wondering if there were any multiplayer games that could be played over the econet. At work this morning I was daydreaming of this : http://www.stardot.org.uk/forums/viewto ... f=1&t=4506
Maybe I'll give this a go if I ever finish Super Breakout.
EDIT:
I just downloaded the source code from Ian Bell's website. Don't think I'll be giving this a go any time soon!

I'm just thrown my name in the hat, would like to attend Saturday. Bring my model B along.
Re: BBC Micro & Acorn User Group NORTH, 22 Nov HALIFAX
Thanks James. Just added you to the 'confirmed' list. Is that the one with the overheating psu? If so it might be worth asking Mark (retroclinic) to bring some caps with him.hiddenevil wrote:I'm just thrown my name in the hat, would like to attend Saturday. Bring my model B along.
Only 5 weeks to go and there are only 4 places left so anyone on the 'tentative' list who wants to confirm their attendance please let me know asap, if you all confirm then we are full!

Only 17 days to go and only 2 places left!
If the last 2 place are not filled by this weekend I'm going to post in the facebook 'Acorn Computer and BBC Micro Enthusiasts' group to try and fill them from there so if you are interested please get in touch before then.

I'll probably bring a scope/soldering iron and a riscpc along too and attempt to bodge econet into it over the course of the day

OK, after lots of arm twisting and the offer of a lift from Samwise, I'm booked in. I have to catch a train back on Saturday night but will be up Friday night with Samwise.
Curry ahoy!

Have fun, and if attendees can take some pics and jot down key things that happen (and then post all of that!) that would be much appreciated.
But if you are all too busy having fun, that's understandable.

Nicely done Sydney and co with this fully booked meet up! Sorry I can't attend this one.
Have fun everyone and let us know what you got up to !
Re: BBC Micro & Acorn User Group NORTH, 22 Nov HALIFAX
Here are name badges for the meet - which also contain user avatars (if you don't use an avatar on the forum then I picked an appropriate image!).
I'll bring lanyards and PVC wallets to Halifax - and I'll endeavour to get the badges printed too, but just in case I mess the printing up again (a la Wakefield 2013) then feel free to print your own using the attached files!

Just thinking about planning my journey...what time are the Friday crowd turning up?
I was thinking of getting there mid-afternoonish so I can have 16 cups of tea before the curry.

Love the name badges Dave
You've also put my avatar on Prime (Phil two Ls) though ... not that I mind but Prime might like his own
