Thanks Lee, it's good to be back, but not for long!

What I really want to do next is something special.
I want to re-post some of my earlier disks with full instructions for the games.
These are the games that have no in-built info and I did type some inlay details in years ago which I have been able to obtain from some of my disks but some are corrupt so they are lost.

I have already started on disk 1.
Done so far are instructions for...
Killer Gorilla,
Snapper,
Swoop,
Monsters,
and Meteors.

Currently restoring Felix in the Factory and Planetoid.

Don't want to re-post disk 1 yet until all games that need doing have been done.
On disk 1 the inlay info for Rocket Raid and Super Invaders are needed so any help with any scans of their instructions would be great (if anyone has them and can scan and post them here) as I sold my copies of the games years back.

Also found my old info for Hopper and Positron and have restored them to disks 2 and 8 and will re-post those disks at some point too.
regards,
Mick.

I believe acornpreservation.org would have been your best starting point but its down. Does anyone have a mirror?
Other than that - surely plenty of people have these common games!

Thanks for the scans.
Disk 001 has now been re-edited and as been re-submitted in the submissions section.

Done some more work on my disk 2 and sorted both Hopper and Felix and the Fruit Monsters, but does anyone have scans for both Starship Command and Carousel that they can post here?

many thanks
Mick.

Today I'm accessing the web on an old-ish PC and I've also found that some of the latter images in this thread aren't displaying.

I suspect it's due to memory issues as a result of so many hi-res images being posted (note to self: must check the status of the Acorn Preservation Project mirror with Samwise ...)

A "reload page" (usually F5 as a shortcut) might cure that?

I have now added Starship Command and Carousel's instructions to my disk 002 which has been posted in the submissions section.

Has anyone got a scan of Tetrapod's inlay?

Mick.

Firefox really grinds on my machine on this page and pops out of existence every now and then ... I think something to do with X and browser image resizing ... sounds like I am not alone ... :)

Aye, this page does load slower and take more time / slow to respond to actions (such as scrolling). This is when using Firefox on a Linux OS.

Best to hurry up and fill the rest of it up with text only

Getting a bit off-topic [-X  but if we get to page 2, then it will go faster!

Talks about fiddling with gfx.xrender.enabled after he got "fed up with the big X freezes with browser-rescaled images" ... tried it on my FF and it just crashed on start-up. But might help one of you others ... [-o<

More about it here ...

Hi Richard,
I'll help get us to page 2!
Yep, it kills me too.
Either with IE9 or Chrome, it sends the computer into zombie-unresponsive mode. :(

Could an admin change the forum settings General -> Attachment Settings -> Display Images Inline -> No?
This would then allow the poster to set whether images are shown or just a link is provided.
