Acorn DFS 1.2

Post by alchresearch »

Does anyone actually own and use DFS 1.2? I've been trying to get hold of a copy, but it doesn't seem to be on any of the usual BBC sites.

Hi Andy, cheers for the PC drive info. I have made a catelogue of my 6 rom image discs at w/end. See my cat section, end of file for the new cat. I think i have it? used it?

Ow, looked in my list 'CNTR-F' is great!, anyway not there, but i do have it somewhere, maybe still on a chip. Thats the 8271 Acorn DFS, after v.90, its only 8k

Think it may be DNFS1.2, as from my AcornHistory page it has NetworkFS init aswell, hence 16k. But says by ROFF?

Its kicking about on the net, and 8bs is back! Hope that helps?

Yours CM

Stop press: yes its that one, so find a 16k one, view the first part of file, if it says ROFF, thats it! Shows as *ROMS (with ADT1.74) DFS, NET, and *HELP as DFS 1.20. Dear knows about the NET bit, maybe have to *MDUMP it to find the commands!
