Hello from Surrey

Post by Roxy »

Hello all,

I recently inherited a lot of Acorn hardware and floppy disks from my dad. I remember playing some of the games in early childhood, but most of it is a mystery to me. So I'm very much just starting my Acorn journey now. Looking forward to learning a lot!

I seem to have an Archimedes A5000 and 310, and possibly an Electron, but I'm not sure if they still work. I've also been poking around with Arculator, but I think I need to dig out the Archimedes user manual as I don't know how to do anything yet...

Nice to meet you all ☺️

welcome! i would advise taking out the batteries in both the archimedes (if not already removed) as they like to leak and damage the system.

Welcome from your local user group! (see sig)

Our monthly meetings are by Waterloo Station so should be fairly quick and easy for you to get to and we'll be happy to help you get started on your Acorn journey :-)
