Many moons ago I had kitted out my Beeb with a Solidisk 256K RAM card and one of their 4Mhz CPU boards, and I think their 1770 disk controller. Life was good...
Solidisk advertised frequently looking for "Local experts" to helps others with the installs and so on and I remember writing to them asking to join in... And heard nothing... So I've often wondered if this was a real thing or did it just not work out for them, or ... ? (I was in Edinburgh at the time, so don't know if that made a difference)

Anyone have any more insight?
