Hi all,
After 42 years and a path through ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC's, PC clones and the odd single board computer or 6 I have finally got my hands on an Issue 7 BBC B like the ones I used in high school and when I first started work.
That's actually harder than you would think as there are not a huge number of BBC's in Oz and the price to import one would turn the cost of living crisis into a full blown disaster
Then one day a slightly grubby Model B comes up and its in Tasmania... Not exactly local but only took 1.5 weeks to arrive via Australia Post which is about average for Perth!
I've resisted turning it on until I've sorted out the PSU and it needs a good clean but I'm hopeful that not much is wrong. Its got original DFS 0.90, View and Viewsheet ROMS installed and it appears to be mint with no other modifications.
I'm amazed how much information about Acorn systems are in this forum and the amount of time and effort that has gone into supporting and sharing tips about these machines, so thanks to you all.

Hi Alan,
Small world!
It's nice to know that an interest in Acorn retro computing is now officially a thing in WA!
PM me if you fancy a coffee
