Interesting game.....there are 3 maps. I've only played one so....question Venger. Is that the map we should be playing or should we be playing all of them. I'm wondering if the scoring is weighted the same throughout all the maps.

I've got a starter score on map 1.....

I'd just go with the first option, Ed. The others sound a lot harder 😂.

3 game modes, not 3 maps.

There are so many Beeb versions of this arcade classic! I started out with Visions' Pengi, and do miss the "electric fence" option that one had (which can really get you out of a tight spot)! Not familiar with the arcade original, so have no idea if that was an original game feature or not.

Lot of luck of the draw in this one, as the mazes and baddies are randomly generated, and the slow speed of the player means you can't always extricate yourself from a rough starting point. Addictive though!

Anyways, here's a starter from me - score 9928:

The damned site is up and down like a yo-yo for me so I still can't post from the PC. First couple of goes and I've got 15006. I'll try and get a photo up from the phone of I can get it down in size.

This is a pretty good game, not one I've played much before, an interesting variation on Pengo. My best so far: 9964

Luckily managed to get in for the first time in ages on the PC. I had these issues before but they went away after a while with no explanation.

As Ed just noted (in the wrong thread  ) those krackats sure get a speed boost later on, and I'm not really ok with that. Don't think things should get so hectic so soon into the game, and I wish the author had made a smoother transition to turbo mode, eg. have a loop of the monsters moving at 1.5x speed before they jump up to double.

Also, I really miss having a "quit game" option in this one!

Anyways, here's my latest - 13620

I think it'll be difficult to get much more than this due to the massive speed boost the enemies get further into the game.

Only once bitd did I 'get the hang' of this one and actually start to rack up decent scores.
Can't do it now though. Tried for ages.

Well, it took me a fair few goes to beat the speedy level. After that, it goes back to normal speed and 8 enemies. I died then though :( .

Oh, that's good to know - about the return to normality, I mean!

I did manage to nail 3 of the 4 speedsters when I was on that level, so I'll probably have another krack-at it :-P
