B-Em Integra-B emulation

Post by stevei2791 »

I'm having a problem getting b-em to emulate a BBC B with Integra-B. Selection these options from the Model menu for either the 1770 or 8271 disc interface just gives the BBC Micro prompt with Language? below it.

I've tried nuking the installation and ./config/b-em directories and starting from the repository and I've tried installing the latest version of IBOS rom from https://github.com/kgl2001/IntegraB-OS and trying to reset the cmos with pressing @ at restart but that just gives me a scrolling screen with Language? and occassionally Not found scrolling by too quickly to see.

I've got the cmos_integra.bin in both the source directories and the ~/.config/b-em directories is that not correct?

Guidance would be appreciated.

Firstly, please make sure you're running the latest version of B-Em - although it sounds like you might have already done that.

https://github.com/stardot/b-em/releases

There was an issue with the IntegraB reset code in B-Em that was fixed a couple of years ago, but the fix was accidentally removed at the next release. This regression wasn't spotted, and the fix re-applied, until very recently.

Secondly it's worth noting that I need to press the '[' key on my laptop to get the '@' symbol on B-Em. So on my laptop, it's CTRL-[-F12 to get the Integra-B reset.
