Sweet P plotter - up for grabs

Post by ChrisJC »

Morning All,
I dug out my old Sweet P plotter from the loft and tried it. It didn't work at all!

So I dismantled it and cleaned it all up, and now it works a lot better.

However, the pen grabbing mechanism is still unreliable, as is the 'Pen Up' / 'Pen Down' mechanism. I can't see any obvious problems with it, other than a fickle design that I don't understand.

See picture / videos.

Therefore, it's up for grabs. I could donate it to the Cambridge Computer Museum, but I don't know if they want stuff that doesn't work. I don't think they have one. Anybody on here know?

Or I could give it to a like minded enthusiast in the Cambridge or Peterborough area.

Certainly I don't need it cluttering up my office!

Any thoughts?

Chris.
