I take it that this one is a Moon Cresta clone from the screen shot? How they didn't get sued for that is anyone's guess as the graphics look almost identical  .

Those were the days where there was no real copywrite laws on the earlier software. It took them a while to figure out how to deal with it.

One of my favourites while growing up. It just took me 30+ years to notice that each ship is numbered.

First few games on this, learning as I go. Not a bad little game once again.

Another couple of goes. It gets quite fast later on, especially when you're left with the last baddy on a particular section. Docking is very dodgy

It's frustrating trying to get at the enemies with their crazy moves, then there's the docking which is critical to keeping your game going. It's all pretty brutal really. A bonus ship at 50K is looking a long way off but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm getting a better feel for it but only a small score increase.

Possibly my last go on this. As Ed commented, it gets stale after a while. The difficulty level stays the same after the 3rd time around. The extra life after 50000 points comes in handy too.

Starts off like Moon Cresta, but has some different bits and some annoying docking controls.

Managed a better increase this time. Yes, the docking controls are annoying. It's like there's a random movement that messes your approach at the last moment.

A bit better. Yes, if you can't dock, you can't win.

Due to work, holiday and family commitments I missed out on Bubble Bobble - I had a few goes on it, got into the 300k region, it was quite a good port, but being disc only probably restricted its ability to make money in the last days of the Beeb era, thus being unreleased?

Onto this Moon Cresta clone - not bad, except for the dogsh*t controls when docking, so frustrating  it's quite easy though as the aliens always reappear in the centre of the screen once they go below you and there is no time limit. The eventual score limit is governed by the docking as shooting is relatively straightforward.
