TNMoC 32bit Fixathon 28th / 29th October

Hello everyone,
We are planning another Fixathon event at TNMoC in Bletchley this October,. We plan to go through some of our stored machines and check them over, doing some light restoration and testing. We’d love if you can along and lend a hand, and we’re looking for all skills from basic cleaning to surface mount repair.

This time we will be concentrating on 32-bit Acorn machines, from common A5000s to uncommon A500s. Our most important task is to make sure their batteries are removed and neutralise any damage. We’ll also see if we can image a few hard discs to discover any unusual software.

At this point, I just want to sound out your interest. Is 28/29th October good for everyone? If it all sounds positive I’ll book the meeting room.

Just seen your announcement for the next Beeb/Acorn fixathon. Are you aware this conflicts with the previously announced ABUG meetup? I'd imagine that there's a fair few people who would like to attend both but will now have to choose between one or the other (myself included). Is the November date set in stone?

Oh £$%^& ! Thanks for letting me know, I was just about to announce the event on here. We had to change from the October date due to Bletchley Park being taken over by the security summit.

Any suggestions for a new date? Other weekends in November look OK at the museum at present.

From my perspective the following weekend (17th/18th) or the 1st w/end of December (he says selfishly)
