Didn't know this was by Acornsoft. Always thought it was a MicroPower game.
Here's my first quick crack at it.

Definitely not an Acornsoft release, it was a Micro Power title , maybe it was sent to Acornsoft also but they declined, anyone know ?

Answers the question, Acornsoft rejected it. Micro Power published it.

No instructions, just control keys! I found it helpful to look at the Evil Weevils version which does have some explanations. Turns out I was spraying the weevils with oxygen which didn't help me get to the next level at all! #-o

I got to level 5, where the game resets to level 1 but with much faster weevils. It's one of those games (much like Felix in the Factory) where there's not much scope to get very far before it gets impossibly difficult.

Ok, so wraps around after 4 levels. You get more worms, they are faster so you have to be on your toes (or your fingers). Almost caught you Chrisn....and of course, Venger now is in so we're all doomed.......

I'm not sure that there's much chance of me getting more than this, to be honest, due to the nature of the game. I bought another 6 games in the Steam sale so I'll probably be occupied with them too. I'm burning through games at a rate of knots lately.

But before you go solo, would you kindly pick a game for us for the Champ round and just send it to me in the private messages please?

Thanks Venger...... :-)

Much better score, got to level 5 - as already said, it just loops back round , and is just speeded up where the weevils are zooming about everywhere and becomes impossible to do anything.

Ok, so I played this morning and got a better score.....I genuinely like this game in spite of somewhat spotty collision detection.....like watching the sprit go right through the worm and nothing happens....except you die.

I've been playing this whilst minding three men digging a trench - their behaviour was much like bodybuilders looking at and orbiting around, the weights at the gym, whilst looking at themselves in the mirror and flexing  except they were talking about football, women, price of fuel, migrants and oddly something about "Putin controlling all Bitcoin" - leaning on the machines telling me I can make "a killer cuppa"... well, time to close the laptop and Felix and The Weevils (after a screenshot) and go and admire their progress... #-o (think 2001 and the bone flying through the air) I got past level 5 and yeah, too unfair to be worth replaying TBH. I know I want to keep at it and get a better score, but I just don't have time at the moment (apart from that chance to engage in non-productive work with my fellow creatures) =D>

I got to level 5 this time... My strategy to maximise the score is to always wait for the weevils to turn purple, but this means you have to be patient on level 1. Level 5 is just too fast for me, otherwise this is a really good game. My best so far: 24600
