Hmmm, not a fan of this one.
Didn't know it also came out on Atari 800 and C64 as well.

A first effort (since last time this featured in the competition, anyway!).

I'll have to relearn the patterns to get the sort of scores I'm used to. The game's still very enjoyable though, and it's nice to have a game that doesn't last too long per go for a change!

Back up to my standard from the last time we played this. I'm not sure I'll get much more than this, due to the nature of the game. Only one more level after this too.

Finally managed to get off level 1 but then promptly got killed on the Bonus round and I'm not sure why...

Dying on the bonus level shouldn't mean you lose an "actual" life. I usually die on the bonus level (you only get a really shitty bonus of less than 1000 or so for completing the bonus level anyway) and it has no bearing on your "actual" lives.

That's correct, the lost life isn't part of the overall lives, it's just for that bonus level and is what usually ends it.......

Does anyone know whether the names of the levels, underneath the level number, are passwords to the level? If so, how do we input the passwords if we want to try them out? I haven't seen any sort of password input feature or seen anything mentioned about one.

I haven't found anything, I guess it would have been simple enough to do, if memory was a problem, have shorter high score names?

I've been playing on and off for a few hours and managed to get to level 6 (CYPLEX) - I'm used to the bouncing motion now - a very strange idea, the bonus levels are hilariously difficult, they just get ridiculously fast later on.

Unfortunately I missed out on the GF2 challenge - a game I'm good at, not so good at this though #-o

Managed to get to the end - a display of ruthless violence and slaughter  and an absolutely impossible bonus level... Unfortunately I did a screenshot, then got interrupted and copied and pasted a URL - my score is gone  #-o oh well, I'll have to play it again! and again! and again! I was kinda hoping I was done with it.

EDIT: I knew there was a use for Windows and OneDrive - it automagically keeps a copy of screenshots in the "cloud" =D> 8) I did get an instant regret closing BeebEm before I had posted the score... Steve-Developers-Developers-Developers-Developers-Ballmer - thanks \:D/ (Longhorn nah, that's when I started using Linux) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jOh6Nh8w6f8 I miss the TechEd sometimes, especially when there's some unscripted action  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMU0tzLwhbE god I'm old

Nope, don't like this game.
Finally got off level 1 (and the pointless bonus round) only to start level 2 with the same shitty weapon you start the game with. Grrr!
Never completed level 2.
