Well, try again and get a better score. You can do it. And any score you get, please post a screen shot so we can verify your score and post it on the score sheet.

Thanks LoveBug...... :-)

Managed to improve my score - but Level 32 is a killer, virtually all lives went on this one.

A bit better - still Level 32 though - lost too many lives on some earlier levels - not lost them would have had enough to get through it I think.

This is a hell of a game, and i'm most probably the worst player ever in it :-D
Hanging at level 3, working on timing the elevator to not fall into the hole.

First attempt. Had many accidents on level 3 involving the lift and gravity.

Well, duck me! I nearly got through level 9 but a certain little birdie didn't want it to happen.

A very small increase, but this will be as far as I get now, unless I can figure out Level 32 .

It'd be interesting to see the rest of that list, that's cut off in the photo. I know I've beaten a few of the Acornsoft game scores quoted and the Blagger score too.

Thanks for that :) . A lot of the games I haven't played as they seem to be Elbug exclusives, along with other games that I never owned at the time. The score that shocks me the most is the Killer Gorilla one. That game relies a lot on luck with the fireballs on the 50m level, and none of us got much over 80K. I'm also surprised at the low scores on Frenzy.

Another slight increase, it's very challenging on the levels with both the duck and the other birds but getting closer to finishing 24, which I assume the next 8 levels are not so bad with just the duck :-k

this is Elbug magazine, so these will be the Electron versions of the games. I wonder if there some subtle differences from the BBC version that make Frenzy harder and Killer Gorilla easier? I don't know either game well enough.

I grew up with the Electron, it's only now that I'm playing the BBC versions of games. The only difference, usually, is in the speed (the Electron versions being slower due to the limitations of the machine compared to the Beeb). I had both Killer Gorilla and Frenzy on the Electron and I don't remember them being easier (or more difficult in Frenzy's case) than the BBC versions.

Finally passed Level 32 and new high score, the game speeds up this time round but I don't think it makes it any harder because of it.

The only difference I can remember between the 2 versions is that the birds are blue on the BBC version (as they are on the Spectrum version) and purple on the Electron version, other than that , noises and level layout were exactly the same.

I too had an electron as a kid but I have definitely noticed differences in many games including Frenzy. So as to not take this thread off topic I'll post my thoughts in a new thread here: viewtopic.php?p=391275#p391275

I've managed to miss the first few challenges, but here's my first go at this one.
I remember taking one look at this game bitd and thinking what a simple and naff looking game it was and not even giving it a try.
Had no idea what I was missing!
Anyway, here's my first attempt at it (for this round).
