High Score Challenge - S19 - R07 - Super Invaders
Re: High Score Challenge - S19 - R07 - Super Invaders
I don't think I can take much more Space Invaders. The game is really cruel sometimes, like when you dodge a bullet only to get killed by the "spray" of earth that appears after the bullet hits the floor.
Anyway, I just managed to get the score to roll over and finished with 115300. Along with not showing the extra digit, the game doesn't recognise that the score of 115300 is higher than my previous score of 48100 as, when I started a new game after this go, the 48100 score stayed as the high score.

Well done! I wonder if Super Invaders has been disassembled and thus could be modified to add an extra zero?

I'd prefer an extra gun.maniacminer wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 1:55 am Well done! I wonder if Super Invaders has been disassembled and thus could be modified to add an extra zero?

Hi. Well, despite several attempts, I've managed to get a pathetic score. Thought I'd better post it since I've made the effort.

Not a game that I ever really got on with. Just too repetitive for my taste. I also think it's bullshit that it's insta GAME OVER if they land (regardless of how many lives you have remaining).
But hey ho, here's a slight score from me just before the deadline: 7940

Hey CyberShark, correct me if I'm wrong but I think you put your score in almost an hour after the deadline......Cybershark wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 8:58 pm Not a game that I ever really got on with. I'm surely not gonna lose sleep over it, but:
Code: Select all

But, as I say, it was a throwaway score anyway
Re: High Score Challenge - S19 - R07 - Super Invaders
Strange, it shows up as 1:58 on my browser......no problem, I'll put it up......Cybershark wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 1:14 amI'm surely not gonna lose sleep over it, but:is what I see. Assuming the start and end times for the rounds are based on GMT then I was just under the wire.Code: Select all

1:00 is the time it should have shown being below on my browser but......it's the internet, so who knows.....

High Score Tables Updated for Season 19, Round Seven......
This was a pretty typical Space Invaders style game which is somewhat above the Commodore PET version - ok, just joking ok.......
We do have a winner once again Venger. . There were really only 2 people in this race for first place so very well done you two.
On a side note I'd like to thank all those who played this round. We had 12 playing this game this round so.....Thank you!!! It seems we are mostly averaging out at 11 so this participation is a bit above average.
As usual please check to ensure I've not missed anyone's scores because it's easy to miss things on this and I really don't want to do that for anyone's hard earned score.
