Sweet! The back story of how this game got fixed and rescued, is great. It's on my "shooters" disc from decades back and it does crash on later levels, although I only got there once and now I know it wasn't the Beeb that died

Yes, a good little game. I like the way the bonuses are awarded. Gotta keep your eye on the birdies!

Not played this before.
The planes seem hard to kill. Even when I hit them multiple times in the centre they don't die and other times, one shot will kill them.

First proper go, never played it before, not sure if I should be going purely for the bonus or focus on the planes, sometimes the randomness choses for me

New one on me as I never came across it in my Electron days. It seems okay but gets very repetitive very quickly.

Here's my first go.

Second go at half time in the football. If this game only goes up to 99999 I can see this being reached with relative ease.

Well, put a piece of paper beside your computer and mark down every time you complete the full game, us mere mortals will just slog on in our own little world and try to get to the full game experience.

Well, I found out that the score does actually roll back to 0 after you pass the 99990 point. Unlike Chuckie Egg though (where the score wraps around at the 1 million mark) the full score doesn't show when you enter your name on the high score table.

I could've theoretically gone on ad infinitum but killed myself off at the hour mark. My score was actually 155540 but the piccy only shows 55540. I do have the run on video though so I'll post the screenshot of my score when it's around the 99K mark, along with the high score at the end. If I post the video now on YouTube, it'll be too easy to copy my method and then players' scores will only be limited by the amount of time they're willing to invest in one play of the game. I only really sussed a foolproof(ish) method by about the 60K mark so I was down to one life for a long, long time. The game's far too easy when you work out how to play it properly.

Yeh, I remember we were going around the screens about 4 times I think last time before the screen started to crumble.....so.....it sounds like at least it's properly fixed. Too bad it's a bit too easy but that's the luck of the draw.

One thing that happens in the HSC is we figure out what games we can actually play that work in here and what doesn't. This one didn't work when we came across the bug but now it seems the difficulty level of the game is non-existent after a certain point, really too bad.

It's just basically who's prepared to play the longest in one one go. The one other game I can think of that was like this was Cops 'n' Robbers (although I don't think I had that many challengers for that round). Once you get the gist of this game it's really hard to die unless you momentarily lose concentration.

One thing that I can see being a problem is validating the score (due to the lack of a 6th digit or even 7th digit). I didn't really have a problem proving that my score was over 100K by showing a screenshot from my video where the score was 99K and then screen-shotting my final score on the high score table. I also have a video to back it up too. Would I need another video to prove a score of over 200K? or 300K, etc.? Unless someone can tweak the code to display extra digits this will be a major problem.

Mostly on this HSC the screenshot is to prove the score but on this I think we have to rely on honesty. Who really wants to win by cheating, where's the fun in that......so no, I don't expect to see screenshots every 100k, that's just onerous......and as much as a video is proof, I'm probably not going to sit through an hour of this game, watching it......I enjoy the game myself as a way to relax but you're right, it's much easier than many we've played in the past.

This is the easiest game so far, by far. It does help that I've played many times in the past, so I know the trick to stay'in-alive-oh-oh-oh-oh... What got me in the end, well, my cat jumped onto the keyboard, then I paused the game and sorted out the bins, then I got bored and tired and my mind wandered into thinking about what a real church would look like with cyan bricks and a magenta door, all made of Lego, then I got nagged about "what am I doing?" and by then my mind was shot to pieces, torn to ribbons, my thoughts like a dandelion blown into the wind  I clocked over twice (I've never been able to do this before) My final score is 229550.

The game needs an extra zero (unlike Last of the Free - that had far too many zeroes) for the score and some kind of punishment for letting the carrier pigeon reach the other side of the screen. Then on later levels, have multiple planes attack and drop parachute mines that sit on the ground and explode on contact, also have a limited number of shots, that slowly builds up over time, so you'd have to dodge without firing.

Hahahaha, yeah, I actually started to dream I was so bored (hence the cyan and magenta church made of Lego), I did have a giggle when coming back from sorting the bins out that on resuming I wasn't pressing Z and X but X and C and blaming my fingers  if you get a million, I'll tip my hat to you :D
