New Retro Computer Museum opening Dec 3rd

Post by Nate2910 »

https://www.derbycomputermuseum.co.uk/

We've got Beebs, Electrons, Archies, and load of other UK, US & Jap stuff - nothing newer than year 2000

It's nearly all hands on - not just displayed behind glass (the more fragile items are an exception)

Open most Saturdays but ideally book in advance through the site.

Very exciting - I am just over the border in Nottingham and hadn't heard about this at all. I will plan a visit.

Awesome! And I think I have a home for a 14” CRT TV I have lying around.

I visited today, it's very impressive! =D> Did anyone else go?

The Acorn representation is currently pretty good (certainly relative to other machines) - there are two BBCs, one A4000 and an Electron (all of which are usable). I also spotted a non-functional Viglen BBC which I guess they might rotate into the usable displays.

I was the one in the C64 shirt!

I did order a BBC B owl too which I was going to wear but that hasn't arrived yet :(
