Hi,
I have tried to contact the Admins twice (10/4/22 and 6/9/22) using the "Contact Us" link shown at the bottom of every forum post, but have never received a reply.
I was trying to ask for access to PM's and this course of action seems to be the recommended one.
I have made several normal posts, mostly to the 8-bit Acorn Hardware Forum, as well as to the recommended "introduce yourself" forum and my total post count is 19, but I still can't send PM's.
Am I doing something wrong? Do the "Contact Us" messages not get read/get lost in the ether?
BR
Mick

Ok, I now know the magic number...
I'm still surprised that they don't answer or acknowledge my messages sent through the recommended channel.

Re: Unable to get a reply from the Forum Admins
According to this message they do monitor that channel.
Generally, despite any positive first impressions, I can understand them being cautious about enabling private messages straight away: apparently, there are people out there - not us, naturally - who want to get onto Stardot purely to get access to bargains and other goodies (not that there is some kind of ongoing bonanza on here, exactly), but Stardot wouldn't be the place it is if everyone were like that. Also, monitoring an online community is a pretty thankless task, particularly if it is a free-time activity, so it is entirely possible that they didn't feel any strong need to take action, or perhaps they meant to but other things took priority.
You aren't far short of the magic 25 messages now, however, so perhaps the situation will sort itself out fairly soon.
Re: Unable to get a reply from the Forum Admins
It's not deliberate - it's just really unreliable as it gets a huge amount of spam, so lots gets filtered.
The best way to get our attention is to post something on the board or tag us in a post, or even report a post that you've posted!
I've activated your PMs.

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for that.
Perhaps it might be useful to have a sticky tag at the top of this forum with your advice in it for others in the same situation as me.
