I was joking, as someone brought a Dragon Data computer in the past.

Remember to tick the box to get your 20% off food voucher when booking online - I think you can get it later, but I don't know how.

I've gone from tentative to definite :) Also I'm an XL, many thanks!
I run a little online shop called "Vintage Imitation Parts" to sell a few Acorn Archimedes and BBC Micro related bits and pieces, such as my imitation keyboard surrounds and just recently my imitation function strips.

This year we only have the room from 2pm on Friday. In any event, most people don't start arriving until about 5pm or 6pm. There is no formal timetable. But it is worth getting there before dinner time on Friday (usually at about 7pm).

All right, well I guess I'm going to be forced to drop out, since no offer of transport appears to be forthcoming, and if I end up going down with COVID at the event I can't really responsibly take the train back, can I?

OK. If you change your mind, or anyone else needs a lift along the way and doesn't mind coming back on Monday, I can pick up anywhere along the M6 from Warrington or down the M40 within a reasonable detour.

Whoa there! Give it a bit more time. I may be able to help. I will be driving from the West Country, so may be able to pick you up. But I have not yet worked out my travel plans.

Well, the list is almost full, JudgeBeeb wants a decision, and I'd have to commit to the hotel without really being sure if I could easily and safely get there and back -- it's disappointing but probably better if I just leave it. Thanks though.

It requires three changes, but the train can get you to Blackwater, and I can pick you up from there.

It would be:
Cambridge to London Kings Cross (about 49 minutes)

London Kings Cross to London Paddington via the underground (about 20 minutes)

London Paddington to Reading (about 23 minutes)

Reading to Blackwater (about 18 minutes)

Note the above times do not include the time waiting at stations for the next train.

Alternatively I can pick you up from Reading.

I'm a bit late on this, but keen on attending if one day attendees are possible? It would probably be the Saturday. No hotel needed.

Are one day attendees possible?

Yes, no problem with people attending for a single day. But there are not many spaces left…

Hello

It would be my first time potentially to an ABUG meeting. I know I’m chiming in a bit late here but would just need one day on the Saturday if this is alright?

I would be sharing a table with steve3000…and of course the unique monster A3000…let me know if this is alright?

Great! Happy to be on reserve list.

Costa (Joka80) will be bringing parts for the computer which I'll be bringing and we'll assemble at the event. So we'd only need one table, but there's little point in only one of us attending on our own as we'd only have half a computer.

Please put me down for the reserve list for Saturday. Accommodation not required.
Transport-wise if able to get a slot then I can offer a pick-up from Basingstoke station.

Just to be clear, we have no shortage of space or tables at the venues. The reason for the limited number of spaces this time, is just about being cautious because of COVID-19. If this event goes well, I am sure there will be enough interest to organise another in the relatively new future, hopefully at the maximum capacity that the venue can support.

I shall put both of you on the reserve list for the time being.

Let us know how you get on Dave. I searched Travelodge with no code and B&B for those nights ranges from £80-100 a couple of miles away.
