I just tested positive tonight, been feeling horrible all day, and after Tricky mentioned he'd tested positive I thought I'd best test myself.

I hope so, ive let my work know about the result, even though I'm working from home it doesn't make a lot of difference if you don't feel like you can physically work.

As I'm going to see a old friend in a care home today, I started testing yesterday. Will test again today and I'll be required to test when I get to the care home. Fingers crossed . . .

Mind you . . . when I did catch #19, curtersay of my optician (the only person I'd visited that week!) it was no worse that a mild cold. Not that I'm wanting it again!!!

Hope everyone that attended the meeting is OK . . .

I'm hoping that I couldn't have given it to anyone else as the only place we have been in weeks was the premier Inn on Thursday night.
I'm not sure how long one takes to become infectious and how long before one tests positive.

Don't worry about that. Just take care of yourself.

I'm afraid I tested positive this morning also (slightly, it's a very faint line). Keep safe peeps, and do a few tests if you have them.

I have had a soar throat and increased nasal mucus production with occasional watery eyes for the last couple of days, but at this time of year, it’s hard to work out if I have hay fever symptoms (from tree pollen) or it’s something else. Anyway, both before and during ABug I tested clear for COVID19 and today I tested myself again and the result was clear again. I hoping that my double injection and booster injection are still providing protection.

I hope that Richard, Sarah, fibble and anyone else that is suffering gets well soon.

My sister currently has it, after her daughter caught it.

+1 for the hay fever and negative covid test.

I too hope everyone makes a speedy recovery and the other hay fever sufferers aren't doing too badly.

By way of a rather depressing update, I am told that two members of staff at the venue have also come down with COVID.

Hope everyone has mild symptoms and a speedy recovery.

I tested myself last Friday before going to ABUG, on Sunday when I got home, then on Tuesday before going out to a show, and again on Wednesday and Thursday after seeing Tricky's message - thankfully they were all negative.

So did the hotel staff get it from us or did we get it from them?!?

My job has taken me from Somerset to Euston, London, once or multiple times per week over the last few months. That’s over two hours on the train, then about 12 minutes on the tube.

Here’s a photo from a couple of weeks ago…

So far, by being as careful as possible (avoiding touching anything, using hand sanitiser, and where possible keeping a reasonable distance from other people, although as the number of passengers increases, that’s getting harder and harder), I’ve managed to avoid getting COVID19 on these trips. No doubt having had a booster and luck have also played a part.

There are gaps between people, that's nothing like the rush hour crush I used to experience when I lived in London in 1997-98 and had to suffer the Northern Line (Charing Cross branch) every day! Probably just bad luck, my 3 jabs don't seem to have saved me. I was supposed to be on cooking duty for mothers' day but I have been relieved of command and banished to the BeebRoom. So it's not all bad I suppose!

I’ve obviously pushed my luck, as I’ve been feeling rotten, and my latest test is now positive :-(

Having read these posts it seems that my paranoia is paying off. Don't go anywhere and don't see anyone.

Hell of a way to live!!! :(
