Right, I don’t know what I was doing wrong last night but it’s now running absolutely fine in OSMODE 4, with and without the VideoNuLA ROM inserted or the VDU driver enabled or not.

It was odd - it was running as if the VideoNuLA wasn’t there - I just had the standard palette, which kept changing, including the flashing colours 8-15. Anyway, working fine now.

And loading off the Pi1MHz ADFS hard disc is way quicker than the Gotek.

Must be my post-pub weekend chi kicking in.

I've added support for the RGB2HDMI inband NULA palette emulation, to run this load it up using:

Code: Select all

*TNK -H
this should show the game using the NULA palette if you are using the RGB2HDMI adaptor.

That is fabulous and working fine for me, on my Master now with a GoSDC and RGBtoHDMI! (Previously was on the B + IntegraB + Pi1MHz SCSI HD.)

One suggestion: could you add a 'readme' file to the image to list the various command line options? I'm worried I'm going to forget what they are and have to dig out this thread. (Obviously, I can make a file, but I think it would be generally useful for other people.)

Thanks again!

That's a good idea, I believe there's still space on the disk image, I should probably do this for all of the games, or add a -?/-h option to the games.

I don't know what error 128 means, are you sure it's not disc error 18? When does this happen?

Obvious questions are have you selected ADFS? Did the image download correctly? Is it write protected (I don't believe it saves anything unless you choose to save). I tested in BeebEm in master mode since it has ADFS by default so it takes less setup, so it should work on a master.

I will check the config of my gotek. might be something to do with that as I notice the disc image isn't DFS or AFDS like I normally use.

Just downloaded the disc image and converted the image with the 'USB to Disk' util to an ADFS disc.
The disc seems to be fine but I have the same problem as triter mentioned earlier, after loading only a flashing cursor.

Any clue, or do I have to create blank flash card?

Cheers
Happy with my BBC Master
