Moving data from VirtualRPC to RPCEmu

Post by richard_leggett »

Hi,

I have a Mac running a 64-bit only Mac OS, so can no longer run VirtualRPC. VirtualAcorn claim that you can run it under a 32-bit VM, but the app fails to run, producing no error message. I've tried a number of emails to VA to ask for pointers, but they've chosen to ignore them.

So, I'm trying to move to RPCEmu. However, I'm a bit stuck moving data over. RPCEmu seems to support .hdf disc images. However, my data under VirtualRPC is stored as separate Mac OS files, with the Risc OS file extension specified after a comma - e.g. "!Sprites,ff9"

Can anyone offer advice on how I can transfer my data from VirtualRPC to RPCEmu?

Apologies if the answer is somewhere on this forum - I have searched and couldn't find it!

Thanks!
Richard

That sort of format looks like it should work under HostFS on RPCEmu.
