OpenSupaplex

Post by ccawley2011 »

OpenSupaplex is a 1:1 reimplementation of the early 90s DOS game Supaplex, an extended clone of Boulder Dash. I have ported OpenSupaplex to RISC OS, and a test build can be found at https://github.com/ccawley2011/open-supaplex/releases.

Great work Cameron, enjoyed seeing this during last night's ABug event.

Could you perhaps upload a video of the RISC OS gameplay to YouTube (or similar)?

Also, did you say it might be possible to incorporate the option of the Adlib and also the Amiga MOD soundtracks into the RISC OS build?
Please subscribe to the ABug YouTube channel!

The game as-is has the option to switch between Roland, AdLib/SoundBlaster and PC Speaker music in the "controls" menu. The music is stored as FastTracker II modules, so it should in theory be possible to convert the original SoundFX module data to FastTracker and replace one of the existing modules.
