Fantastic. Gonna binge watch your videos tonight.Arcadian wrote: ↑Wed Jan 27, 2021 9:37 pm A few people have asked if the ABug videos can be uploaded to YouTube in addition to the ABug website, as apparently it's better suited to viewing on/streaming to a telly ... so I've created a new Youtube channel and over the past couple of days have uploaded all of the previous videos from May-August 2020:
https://www.youtube.com/c/ABugEvents
I've just hit the daily Youtube upload limit so I'll resume uploading the remainder from Friday - but in the mean time it would be really helpful if anybody that's enjoyed the videos so far could subscribe to the Youtube channel, as once it hits 100 subscribers we can get a custom url (instead of that 24 character monstrosity above!). Thanks.
Mine is : RetroMarky btw

Re: Please subscribe to the new ABug YouTube Channel!
I understand there have been further videos made, but not uploaded to the YouTube channel - nothing for over a year - what's happening?
Re: Please subscribe to the new ABug YouTube Channel!
My understanding is that Dave (Arcadian) has been very busy, and hasn't found anyone to do the editing of the raw footage - but I don't want to speak for him, so that's just my impression.

Excellent - many thanks to the mysterious video editing person!
Re: Xmas 2022 ABug Video Schedule now live: please subscribe to the ABug YouTube channel for notifications
Right, that's all remaining videos rendered and uploaded/scheduled on YouTube for launch at the published times ... check out some of those running times!
It's actually me that's edited these, but Trevor is going to get familiarised with the process so if we hold more one-off Virtual ABugs with a guest interview, there shouldn't be a crazy delay before the video goes live if I'm away/tied up doing events!

Cool, I've enjoyed the series so far, thanks for the upload (and for the editing, interviewing and of course, the folk who put their time in for our benefit)
For video and sound editing and effects, I found DaVinci Resolve very good, it's free and runs on "anything" I use it on the Mac and PC (Linux & Windows) and have been very impressed by its tools and workflow. I used Premiere Pro/After Effects/Audition and Final Cut Pro/Logic Pro/Keynote simplified all that down to one package that runs on "anything" it's a bit like Kicad for film making
