Incidentally, at first I tried the online version at bbcmicro.co.uk, but it seemed sluggish and unresponsive. On a real machine its fine. This isn't a criticism of the game, but it's not something I have noticed before using jsbeeb.

My laptop is a fairly new model with a Ryzen 7 processor, so performance wise it should be good. It just has a basic integrated graphics card and Windows 10.
I suspect the browser is the biggest factor. I would have been using Firefox. This is something I have reverted to fairly recently, and in the past would have used Chrome, so maybe that explains why I am seeing this issue for the first time.
