It's great and captures the frustratingly brilliant one more go feeling I remember from so many games back in the day. I've nearly smashed the break key through the table several times, which is probably what killed my elk back in the day.
Haha, thanks! Hitting break is the earliest form of a rage quit I guess
I created the password system so you don't have to start all over again from level 1 after hitting break! Good luck!

I’ve been thinking - I’d really love to see an Elementum 2 as a side scroller. Same game mechanic but with a continuous scroll so you have to stay ahead of the screen. I reckon that’d work really well. If you made and sold it, I’d buy it.

Great idea, who knows! I'm working on another game now, totally unrelated to Elementum even though it shares a lot of code.

As 'revealed' by 0xC0DE on Twitter yesterday, there will now be a physical release of Elementum on floppy discs from Retro Software, on the new 'Retro Power' label.

I hope everyone likes the wonderful artwork, I think it's truly "befitting" of such a good game!

We'll hopefully have it ready for release mid-January, together with the Darkness of Raven Wood (finally!).

Put me down for a copy of the BBC 5.25" disc please.

Will there be a ssd made available when we buy the physical copy as with previous releases?

You can already play the game now - see the SSD link in the top post within this thread! :)

The physical release will either have a purple or a yellow loader screen (depending which version you buy) and the game code has been tweaked slightly too, but these versions will make their way to the web too once the physical versions are ready, so you will be able to download SSDs and ADFs that exactly match the copies on the discs.

I've now listed the physical versions (available on 5.25" DFS & 3.5" ADFS) for the Electron, BBC Micro/Master and Master Compact, in the For Sale section: viewtopic.php?p=314014

Thanks again 0xC0DE for letting me put this together!

This graphic covers the pricing as well as ordering instructions ...

Great game. Sometimes monochrome colour doesn't suit some games, and others it works well, like Alien 8. This one suits it well.

Only one issue I found. When playing on a my real BBC micro, I have to shift down the display 1 character for it to display on my monitor using *TV 255,1

However, when this game changes the CRTC, it doesn't take into account this shift down so I lose the top character row of the screen.

Thanks for the compliment and thanks for pointing that out. Will have to look into this!
