AJW, designers can now submit their levels to this thread, by using the upload attachment option at the bottom of the posting screen. When you have a reasonable amount, you can start collating them together into a set ... think you need at least 8 new levels to create a complete Repton 3 set, IIRC.

I've found 17 sets (around 6 or more per set) of levels from an 8BS disc. Some of them are very poor indeed - one basically has "Repton" as some kind of penis and the diamonds as boxes that say "blob" on them for some reason. However, all is not lost as Adrian Jackson (Killer Gorilla??) has submitted a group of level sets which seems very professional.

There's also original Repton Infinity games from EUG#21 but they need recording onto tape. If DaveE is reading this it'd be brilliant if he could put those onto a disc image somehow or a UEF. Otherwise i'd imagine they lost to most people which would be a great shame as a couple of them look very polished (e.g. Kwak).

I started a thread about this a year or two ago as I've got loads I designed... some on 5.25" disk and some on tape! Think there are probably about 10 sets of screens, although in some cases not all 8 levels are complete... takes you aback when you start a new level only to discover there are only a few walls and diamonds and no time bomb!

They need going through to make sure they can all be completed, but once I get the chance I'd definitely like them shared out and would be very interested in seeing other people's efforts (especially Adrian Jackson's!).

Will definitely try to get round to it this time around... :-)

The Repton Infinity games from EUG21 by JAMES TREADWELL:

Stonwall
Pacman
Brickie
Stonewall II
Kwak
pacMan2

They need saving to tape to work apparently using the program "COPIER". Then they have to be loaded into Repton Infinity tape version.

Repton screens from TBI PD for 8-Bit Software (author unknown):

It seems there are 20 rather than the stated 17 screens on two discs (2 on the second disc called "Agony" and "Pain"):

40 more levels - thanks Footie. Some difficult ones there.

A couple more sets and that should be a great start. Any suggestions for a web-page?

Hello,

It is correct that the versions on EUG #21 need to be copied to tape and then loaded into the REPTON INFINITY tape version on the Electron.

BUT...

When HeadFirst PD released the original PD discs, they included:

a) all source code, and
b) a version of REPTON INFINITY with a self-running code for all of them.

So if you download the HeadFirst PD library versions of the discs, located here:

http://www.acornelectron.co.uk/haven/ca ... first.html

then you can just select the set from a menu. Much easier for us lazy emulation fans!

Those Repton Infinity games are quite good - didn't realise they were by the two Daves from Acorn User. I've put them in an SSD: *<game> to run.

(Strangely the Repton Infinity games don't work with Beebit but do with 6502em).

Anybody know what that Repton 3 datafile "Money" is on Headfirst PD disc 4? It's not completable AFAICT.

Just been sent dozens of what look like every Repton 3 level redefined to the original Repton 3 graphics! Plus new screens! This might take some sorting through.

I did loads of Repton screen sets - this is a Rovers Return set. I was only 15 when I did this one.

I've got some pictures of some other ones - I really need a cable so I can get these into an emulator.

No, I haven't - I've only got these on 5.25" floppy, unfortunately. I had to fire up my Beeb just now to take those pictures.

I've got three alternative graphics sets (London, Rovers, Farmer) for Repton 3, an original game called "Narky" for Repton Infinity, "XOR" and "Bonecruncher" programmed in Reptol for Repton Infinity, and a Froggy graphic set done for Pipeline.

Those look extremely high quality and probably could have been published! What kind of cable do you need - could anybody help you here with it?

Didn't realise you could redefine Pipeline?
