Hi everyone,
I have picked up a First Byte Joystick interface for my electron. Ive only tried it on one machine tbh but when i switch on the electron, there is no beep or light and the screen is blank and grey.
I wonder if anyone has seen this...ive attached a couple of pictures. There doesnt look anything obvious to me.
Thanks,
Chris

Re: First Byte Joystick Interface
Yeah definate problems ive clean the pins to no avail.
Can some point me to what resistor this is.... ive worked some of it out but cant work out where to buy a replacement.
Do you think thats a good place to start or could it be one of the chips?
Thanks again,
Chris

Re: First Byte Joystick Interface
As the board you're plugging in connects directly to the address and data lines any faulty IC on that board will give you the symptoms you're seeing. It not a complicated board - so, if you have soldering skills the repair should be relatively simple. If you don't have soldering skills you can send it to me. It'll cost you the price of postage and of the replacement part. Let me know . . .

When you plug it into the connector make sure it is supported -
i.e. so that there is no weight on the connector.
