All-day 'Virtual' Acorn session #2, Saturday 2nd May 2020, 9am - 9pm
Re: Acorn Virtual Saturday Session. 9am - 9pm. 2/5/20
You can join without a webcam. And if you have a webcam, you can choose to join without using it. Although, it makes for a much more sociable event if we can see everyone.
There is so much wonder in the universe; why should you want to imagine that there is more?
Re: Acorn Virtual Saturday Session. 9am - 9pm. 2/5/20
As a reminder, it's very helpful to use the 'gallery view' which tiles all the people onto the screen, in preference to the 'speaker view'.
If anyone does any screensharing, it's worth noting that you can adjust that to be full-window or to be side-by-side with a gallery.
If not speaking, and especially in a noisy environment, please mute your microphone

Re: Acorn Virtual Saturday Session. 9am - 9pm. 2/5/20
Would there be any interest in any gaming or a high score challenge?
We could possibly set up a breakout room specifically for this or just do it in the main room by pointing your camera at the beeb screen or sharing your screen if you are using an emulator. It'd probably be a good idea to have the sound muted if its in the main room.

Re: Acorn Virtual Saturday Session. 9am - 9pm. 2/5/20
Unfortunately only one person at a time can usefully share their screen, unless they have some helpful extra software.
Re: Acorn Virtual Saturday Session. 9am - 9pm. 2/5/20
So a breakout room will be the best way to go for this if there is any interest, unless screensharing is limited to one per meeting rather than one per room.
Re: Acorn Virtual Saturday Session. 9am - 9pm. 2/5/20
Breakout would suit me, and perhaps anyone else who wouldn't be into the high score compo.
Re: Acorn Virtual Saturday Session. 9am - 9pm. 2/5/20
Ah, sorry - thought I'd mentioned this, Ed has already picked two (mystery) games for the 7.30 - 8pm high score slot that's on the schedule!
(No pub quiz yet, so that can be ditched for this week at least, but let's see if we can get something in for the final hour of the Cambridge 'replacement' if Jason x2 are up for it eh?

Are you attending? => In and out
Are you demonstrating something? => Unfortunately my new video to USB will not come in on time. Hope to continue on the Bluetooth stack for RISCOS ( Pi only at this moment )
Which time slot would you like? => No timeslot needed

Could I say a big thanks to the organisers and all the paricipants for an excellent day. I think it flowed really well.
