All right then! If there's room to get it home that is!

I am on a low(ish)-carb diet (you won't notice the difference)...it's codfish with spinach, tomatoes & capers.
Re: ABUG SOUTH 22 to 24 November 2019 - NOW FULL
Due to life I probably need to get away quite early on Sunday (not long after filling myself up with hotel breakfast), so if any no kitters are coming on Sunday say 10:30-11 onwards, they probably could bring something and spread out on 'my table'. I'll let you handle that as you see fit.JudgeBeeb wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2019 10:09 amSalad? But I wont be having Salad for Breakfast.

Not very Acorn, I know, but does anyone have an Amiga 1200 they could bring along this weekend please? I have a new 8mb RAM upgrade for mine but it resolutely refuses to work. It would be great to determine whether the problems lies with the RAM board or my motherboard before I (continue) complaining to the supplier. Thanks in advance!

A very enjoyable meetup! Lots of space, lots of chat, and even some project progress. Thanks everyone for making it happen.

Wah, jealous! Wish I was there! I've been getting soggyer and soggier in the rain.
I don't care what happens, I'm ensuring I'm getting to the next meet-up.

Had a great time, one of the best. Managed to chat to everyone I'd planned too, plus others. Thanks to Robert, again, for the organisation, and all the folk that gave assistance, especially Dave (Hoglet) and Jason (jbnbeeb). Enjoyed having a chat with John (iwasjafa) about going-ons BITD
Made some good progress with my MGCMKII in terms of Menu speed. The hardware, thanks to Phil (myelin) and Dave, has also progressed with further testing and evaluation.
Traveling was a pain, due to traffic on both legs of the journey - 6 hours each way Not sure I'll be making the January event Probably weather dependant!
It was also brilliant to see everyone getting on with their own projects - so many . . . Excellent weekend

Thanks everyone for a great event, especially judgebeeb for organising it, hoglet for fixing my original beeb, prime for fixing my atom, flynnjs for letting me contaminate his soldering iron with lead to fix my speaker and retrohardware for the view PCBs. I loved kieranhj's demo, especially the nula version (why... Acorn why...) And all the other interesting things I saw and talked about.
PS sorry to anyone I borred silly with coding or emulator talk

I 2nd (6th?) that. I had a great time as usual, even though I had to leave earlier than I originally planned on the Sunday. Next step to build the 3d printer I got from Dave.H.

I had a great time, thanks especially to the Judge for organising and IanS for allowing me to travel with him. Thanks also to BigEd for diagnosing and fixing the problem with my RPi4 (see here), Hoglet for diagnosing and fixing a bug in RPiTube which was preventing data transfers under ANFS working with the Native ARM in about 10 minutes flat, Prime and IanS for giving me all the bits needed to add the serial debug facility to my BeebSCSI, and many others who helped or (pretended that they) were interested in what I was doing.

Hi
I too had a great time. As usual I didn't get much work done.. I did get a few lines of code running for my game though. I think I managed to chat with most people
Thanks to jubber for showing his great games cartridge for the vectrex.. Such an amazing quirky machine. And to hoglet for showing me the very cool kit he has developed such as the ice.
Also had fun playing ridge racer on Sarah's ps1.
Chrisn and I had great fun running RobCs amstrad and spectrum emulators on pitube direct. Doom also got another outing.
Was cool to see projects such as kieran and Tom's latest wip demos, flynnjs wifi/serial board and beeb masters remote transmissions of beeb screen over econet.
Thanks to Robert for putting another great event together once again.

I echo everything, thanks to judgebeeb for organising.
I had fun chatting with Jason including reminiscing about our uni days.
and thanks Mark for the couple of resistors I nabbed!.
And a special thank you to Daniel for sharing his 'torment' - we were in stitches!

Re: ABUG SOUTH 22 to 24 November 2019 - NOW FULL
Me too.
I'm more determined to make the next one in January.
I spent most of Saturday outside (in the pouring rain for half of it) in the garden doing stuff in preparation for the brickie coming on Sunday, and Sunday I spent most of the day project managing the bricklayer and we're now up to wall plate level and that was their last day (thankfully).
I can now have the Winter off before getting a roof fitted as early as possible next year. Here's hoping we have a hard Winter and loads of snow, hardly any rain, and I can finish off some stuff inside the bungalow, and spend more time with my old computers.
Just remember kids, Beeb spelled backwards is Beeb!

Re: ABUG SOUTH 22 to 24 November 2019 - NOW FULL
These photos were taken around 11am on the Sunday morning...
This one was taken a little later just before lunch... It was not getting to the start up message, just a blank display (don’t know if it went bbbeeeeeee, as the PSU is dead, so I was running it off the PSU from a working Beeb and the -5V connection did not reach).
So I removed the ROM board and the Replay. Moved the OS and BASIC ROMs back onto the main board, reconfigured the jumpers (note to self, remember to bring spare links/jumper shunts to future meet-ups, to save borrowing from other less essential link positions ) and it started up and worked.
So then I removed all the socketed chips from the ROM board. Reinstalled it. Darn, still not working. Carried out some voltage, continuity and logic probe tests. All of which were okay, but in the process pressed down on the OS ROM which moved slightly. Tried again and it powered up into MODE 7
So I reinstated the CMOS SRAM chips and the ADC and it’s still working. I’ll finish testing the removed ROM chips at a later date...
I did notice a bent pin on the Replay ROM
