I didn't think that you were. It was just good for me to clarify in my mind that I'm making the right decision. I think I secretly still want to come, but it's just not doable.

You'll be missed, Si ... you were very welcoming to me as a newcomer last time.SimonSideburns wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 9:10 pmI didn't think that you were. I think I've won the battle to get the Disc Toaster ready for exhibition as a standalone unit (the paint is drying on the bezels right now and the software almost works), so I'm hoping to bring that along.

Has anyone that is coming to Cambridge got a pi zero wh (the one with gpio header attached) that I can borrow over the weekend?
I want to get RobC's Doom demo going on my Master to show at the event.

I have a spare Pi Zero but without the W but it has a female header on the GPIO ports. Is that also useful or do you really need wifi?

OK, I'll leave mine at home. My suitcase is already over-weighted (Ryan allows me only 10kg but I'm on 10.4 )

Jason,
You really don't need the Zero W, the Zero 1.3 will work identically with PiTubeDirect.

I know it is last minute, and I am very sorry for that, but unfortunately I have to cancel too.
I was so looking forward to the weekend and meeting people (again). Especially after having had so much fun being there last time, but being self-employed, my work situation (recent revised Payment Services Directive) has priority over my hobby.
Again, I am really disappointed and very sorry and hope someone can utilize my half table.

I have two Pi Zeros, one of which is, I believe, currently inside my Master, on a Pi Tube Direct header, working as a co-pro. I will try to bring them and the header along.jbnbeeb wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 11:40 am ** REQUEST **

Unfortunately, however, I have reached critical mass at home such that it takes less time (and ultimately, for me, less money) to simply buy small things again than to try to find the ones I already have. Indeed, I am already convinced that the missing snake is eating cable-ties.

If anyone needs Pi stuff then there is a Raspberry shop in Cambridge.

Sorry to hear you won't be able to make it either. It would have been good to have met up again after meeting for the first time in June.wolfgang wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 4:03 pm I know it is last minute, and I am very sorry for that, but unfortunately I have to cancel too.

Re: Acorn World and ABUG meetup, Cambridge 20-22nd September 2019.
Does anyone know if the CCH car park is open late, ie up to 11pm or so? I can't leave (South) London until around 8pm so I'll be getting to Cambridge rather late, but I'd really like to unload my stuff on Friday evening (and perhaps risk leaving the car in the car park as well).

I don't think there will be any difficulty in leaving your car in the car park overnight. (I have done the same at many previous ABUGs here.)VectorEyes wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 10:40 am Does anyone know if the CCH car park is open late, ie up to 11pm or so? However, you are cutting it a bit fine with your arrival time. The car park will remain open whilst we are still here. We leave when Jason F needs to leave. On previous occasions this has been at some time between 11pm and 12am.

I see Dave H. has found the tea trolley already.
Is there a floor plan this time? Just wondering where I will be on Sunday.
I think I have lots of bits to bring with me to get rid of, and then I think I am probably taking the same again back from others.

There is, but I don't remember whereabouts you are.
The DFS Toaster was finished with about four hours to spare:
