Hi folks. I'd like to quickly say what a great weekend I have just had.

It was also great getting my hands on an original Chameleon pallette board. After discovering Mike Cook's subtle PCB tracking mistake (!) I was able to test that my updates to the PCHANGE palette manipulation utility to support the nULA and native VDU19 hadn't stopped the Chameleon code working.

Simon, would you be able to post a photo of the Chameleon so I can add it to my gallery of palette extenders.

An update from Cambridge:

I've just uploaded the updated SoftMDFS debugged at Cambridge to http://mdfs.net/Apps/Networking/FServers/ and built the archive so that it extracts ready to run from where-ever it is extracted to, set up to export it's own directory with two users set up, BOOT with no password, and SYST password SYST. Use *NEWUSER to create a user and *REMUSER to remove a user. Users' home directory will be in the mounted root directory of the disk they are created on.

The archive also includes a few sample Libraries utilities for the Atom, System, BBC and RISC OS to demonstrate client-specific library selection.

Two useful server commands are *NETHELP and *NETINFO.

Remember the interesting twist (pun intended) with the cabling. For some reason, pin 1 (the red end of the ribbon cable) is at one end of the cable at one end of the connector and the opposite side at the other end. This caused no end of grief on the first evening at ABUG because we couldn't get the thing working properly - the entire screen on the CUB was reversed (black text on a murky white background covering the entire screen including borders).

I had mostly given up when I started taking the ribbon cable off and noticed the ends. I then reversed the ribbon cable and surprise, it worked perfectly. I don't know how it worked at all if that means 0v and 5v were reversed.

The switch and extra wire on solder side of board were added by my friend to fix an issue with Snapper that caused the screen to keep blinking.

Will these do?

The 2 years backlog of soldering I started at this event I have just finished!

In the end I Built:
- Hoglet 1Mhz Board
- dp11 Pi Beebscsi/Musci500 board
- 2 x RGBHDMIs
- A Beebscsi (programmed 2 as had one I built at last event)
- An ATOM RGBHDMI
- ATOM Noise Killer
- 4 x Various RC2014 boards
- A Smallymouse2
- A ScopeClock
- Chris' Breakout Board
- Resoldered BBC serial to DB25 cable because I forgot to put the shroud on first when I did it last year.

How people on here managed to design and knockout 20 odd PCBs is beyond me. Where do you find the time, the above took pretty much all the free time I was allowed.

Now to test them all.......
