I just arrived back home in Germany after my flight was delayed for about an hour.
I also want to thank everybody for the great weekend, especially the organizers who made it possible and Jason with his great team at The Centre for Computing History for letting us be there.
I wished I had had more time to talk with everybody for longer. It was a lot of fun and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Hi folks. I'd like to quickly say what a great weekend I have just had.

It was also great getting my hands on an original Chameleon pallette board. After discovering Mike Cook's subtle PCB tracking mistake (!) I was able to test that my updates to the PCHANGE palette manipulation utility to support the nULA and native VDU19 hadn't stopped the Chameleon code working. I then took the opportunity to rewrite and optimise the code the squash it to allow it to run on a BBC without having to drop PAGE, and added a few functionality tweeks.

Getting home and re-testing, and I haven't accidently killed the nULA support by updating the Chameleon support.

An interesting thing I hadn't noticed with the nULA before. Change palette entry 0 (black) to non-black, then go into MODE 7. Oooo!!!! Coloured border!

The Chameleon does this because it remaps physical colours, but the nULA remaps the logical colours fed through the video ULA. It seems that in non-teletext MODEs, the border is "colour -1" so to speak, but in teletext the border is colour 0, and is remappable as colour 0.

I popped in around Lunch time on Saturday, was good to say hi. Sorry I didn't speak to you all. Those I did speak to it was cool to see what you were up to. It was really cool to see the Chameleon board running (Thanks @SimonSideBurns).

Was brilliant to finally see the museum! Living in Liverpool, I don't get down that way, ever.

The icing on the cake for me though was seeing Phoebe!!

The guys in the Museum kindly took me upstairs for a private viewing!! that place is fantastic!!

I've never seen so many Beebs in such a small area!!

Great to see everyone again and meet some new faces.

Back to backing the C64, Amiga and Master versions of SCR was an eyeopener - the Master port clearly had the frame rate edge! Less brown too

Just a ping for anyone wanting my details - I'm the Scottish chap from Devon with the little red board that's mostly bbc micro compatible (ish - see picture) I'll post a bit more about it and my ports of cc65 in other topics once I've recovered from the driving back to deepest, darkest Devon

Good to meet everyone there though - great to see so much enthusiasm still out there, as well as new hardware add-ons, software demos and so on.

Right first time, they are RiscPCs, and also not forgetting the System 1

There are also at least 6 Arm CPUs too, one of them in view , not surprising as over 125,000,000,000 of them have shipped to date

How did you do That? Did you recompile it to make it to work on the atom? So could be easy to inport it to the BBC?

I forgot what the guy called from Netherlands. I am wondering did you find out which computer the tapes belongs too.

On Saturday I copied paperboy from tape to disk and see if I could get to work and found out it’s was quite easy with Jonathan’s tape to disk program and made a !boot file.

It's an AGD game and AGD games can be converted to ASCII AGD gamefiles. This AGD file can be compiled for the Atom, it did however need some patches to draw the screen. It can be compiled for the BBC but also needs the patches. Will try this when I'm at home ....

For now it runs on a Spectrum, Dragon and Aton.

Thanks for uploading these. It's definitely not an Atom tape - it's 1200 baud without any obvious block structure.

Did anyone manage to get copies of the two manuals for Computer Concept's Speech System, or at least the one we don't have (if it exists)?
Also, there seem to have been quite a few new faces, I'm so sorry I missed it.
