On the Friday, numbers gradually fall during the afternoon. Leaving very diminished numbers after 16:30.

I was indeed thinking of Sunday. On Friday's, it depends on the venue. People who arrive early may meet up in the bar.

Can anyone bring along a spare monitor I can use? It's for connecting to a Pi, so any LCD with HDMI or DVI input should be fine.
I'm hoping to spend time over the weekend setting up a RISC OS Pi SD card with all the JASPP games, plus those from AMCOG and any other graphical demos I can find, ready to put on display at the Recursion computer show next month. (Suggestions of anything else to include welcome, probably best by PM rather than polluting this thread).
Thanks,
Bryan.

I've been wondering what to bring with me to the event.
I'll certainly bring a beeb to play with. I've also been experimenting on-and-off with an ESP8266 wi-fi modem, so I'll bring that too.
Recently, I've had access to an EMR midi adaptor. I've tried to get that working along with a midi keyboard and a sound module but I haven't managed to figure it out as yet - maybe someone who knows what they're doing can have a play and get things going.
I also have cub that needs attention, and I wondered if anyone would be willing to take a look at it.
That's probably the extent of my kit for the time being, but if anything else occurs to me, I'll bring it along too. Can't wait to meet everyone next week!

Well planning on bringing :
Normal solder / desolder stuff.
Shuttle PC with SCSI card and tape drive.
System Clone, with switchable video card and hopefully debugged floppy controller.
Beeb master + data centre as it's handy for writing disks with.
Prolly a Dragon to show off multicart to Arcadian.
Anything else anyone wants me to bring?
Cheers.
Phill.

At the moment then I'm thinking of:
Station 129 (BBC B issue 2 with DNFS), 5.25" floppy drive, TV set
Station 114 (Master Turbo with Econet), 5.25" floppy drive, TV set, Winchester host adapter rig up, SCSI2SD, maybe another Winchester unit
Could bring third spare TV set at a pinch if needed
Econet Clock, cables, network infrastructure etc.
RISC PC 600 with "BM Special Bodge Repair" clock circuit for testing/general amusement
If anybody expresses interest in a challenge before Friday then I can also bring up to 3 x corroded/green/"BM repaired" MDFS main units.
I'll aim to get there on Friday 5.30ish, could do with knowing any putative plans for how long people are sticking around on the Friday, last train home for me from Victoria is around 11pm.
Also - and most importantly of all - what are the tea making facilities? Do I need to bring kettle, water, milk, miniature 'fridge, etc. as well as the usual?

Hi all
I know this isn't strictly about booking but it's kind of linked to arrival times
Some of you may know but it's now confirmed I'll be filming an interview with Steve Furber about the use of retro computers in education on Saturday morning
He's just confirmed he'll be arriving at 9:30 am on Saturday and hopefully will be about for an hour and a half with hopefully 30 minutes or so for meet, greet and ABUG project viewing
Phil

Since I'll have the system clone there, he's gonna think all I do is clone Acorns, as last time I saw him I had Atom clone......

At the moment I don't know if I'll be arriving Friday evening or Saturday morning, as I'm supposed to be in both Sheffield and Scarborough on Friday, and still haven't had it confirmed if the Scarborough is actually happening or not.
It probably means that all I'll be bringing will be my Compact.

FYI, I'll be arriving at the hotel around 2pm on Friday to check in, then assuming the weather isn't too awful I'll be wandering off to visit a few sites. Should be back at the hotel 5-6pm.
At some point over the weekend I want to pop across the road to the Museum of Science and Industry to visit the Robots exhibition. Having spent most of last year "working" on the exhibition when it was at the London Science Museum I'm interested to see how they've adapted it for the very different space. If anyone wants to join me I can probably give a bit of a tour if I haven't forgotten it all by now! Or maybe I'll troll the staff by asking awkward questions I know the answers to

I am in the centre of Manchester right now and it is neither raining nor snowing. It did rain yesterday and there was a brief hailstorm this morning. But all good right now.
There is so much wonder in the universe; why should you want to imagine that there is more?
