I haven't managed to source a projector. If anyone has one, please do bring it along. Also, my laptop will be no use. It is one of the new MacBooks with only USB-C and I don't have the required dongle for video out. So, again, if anyone has a suitable laptop please bring that along too.

We're in out caravan about 5 miles out - Mrs H Is doing some baby sitting today - So I was dropped off at the Ely at 07:10 - just had breakfast and now about to order a second coffee Hmmmm! I don’t think so. Although USB C and Thunderbolt are virtually identical electronically, the ports are physically different shapes.

Being an imac user I lost the plot over what Apple are doing on the macbooks. There is a thunderbold 2 to thunderbolt 3 adaptor, but I don think I will buy it just on the off chance it might work on your macbook

Everything packed in boxes for earlish start tomorrow. Probably get there around 10.

Decided as only coming for one day to leave the SWTPC 6800, Oscilloscope, EPROM Programmer, EPROM Erase and kitchen sink at home. Never going to get it all in the car. Have more than enough soldering to be getting on with. Not sure how only doing soldering I filled 3 large plastic boxes with stuff.

See you all tomorrow. I shall wear my tshirt with my name on it, only time my wife lets me.

Many thanks to Dave H who's eyes lit up at my untested (and as it turns out faulty) Elk & hoglet. Diagnosed as a likely duff CPU. I removed the CPU tonight and socketed a different one - it now has clock (phi1O & phi2O) and activity on the CPU pins. Old CPU back - totally dead. Tomorrow to reassemble it and see if it actually works!
