Really looking forward to meeting you all.
I'm driving over by car (I only live 20mins away) so can bring along spare TVs computers etc. if that's of interest.
I also have a poorly dual disk drive - it used to work, but it stopped powering up, but would love to get it going again so I can backup some disks. If I bring it along, I'd be super grateful if any of you hardware whizkids might be able to help me fix it! I also have a poorly CUB. :(
I was planning to use the time to archive some of my old 5.25 floppies, some of which are showing a bit of mould, and I'd love to get some supervision on best ways to do this without knacking my drives!
Might even bring my 30 year old atom that I've never even tried powering up.

Will be there Saturday and Sunday. Commuting as I live just up the M1 from the hotel. It will be great to see everyone again.

Now, hopfully, this is in the right place . . . :oops:

Well . . . despite Mrs H knowing about this meeting for several months she's booked us both to go to Antigua from the 19th to the 31st :shock: :cry: So, unfortunately, I'm not going to make this meeting! Please put my 'deposit' into the fund for extra drinks/cakes etc.

Lots of photos and descriptions, please . . . I hope to have 'tinternet access, but I'm not sure, as we'll be on some rich dudes yacht which is being skippered by Mrs H's youngest - owners are away, of course! I suppose the destination is some sort of compensation, however . . . . :roll:

I just had a quick PM with Alex and I'm now going to come along on both Saturday & Sunday as a "no kitter." I'll just be lurking in the background with my laptop ripping VGM tunes in B-Em or doing some random coding and occasionally asking if I can try stuff on SimonM's real hardware. :D

Right as meetup is almost upon us.......

Anything anyone wants me to bring at the weekend, will have my scope and soldering kit with me, will probably bring some PC drive test kit as I did last time, someone mentioned bringing an Atom to get working, will probably bring one of mine too.

What time are people planning to get there on Friday?

Is anyone bringing an Eprom programmer that can handle a 2532 (for an Atom). Or a 21V 2764?

Yeah sure, I might actually be pursuaded to replace em for you too as I'll have my soldering iron.

IanS, I'll bring my Wellon, I believe that can program 2516/2532, had to do some 2516 recently for the PET board I was repairing (the one I got from Multiwizard at Cambridge last year).

Actually as I live in Coventry, even if I forget anything, I can pop back home in an hour or so :) I'll probably be arriving about mid afternoon.
