Quite a few people stay at the Holiday Inn. But it isn't the only or, I suspect, the cheapest place to stay.

Also what sort of parking is at the venue?

I'm close enough to travel up each day, but Holiday Inn is close by. Dave said he's staying at a Premier Inn.

I'll stay at the Holiday Inn. But without a car. I practised driving at the left side of the road but I failed at the highway

I think I have to walk or ask somebody to drive me.

I've chosen the Premier Inn this time . . . A little further away (about 6 miles), however, almost half the price!

Thanks for formally adding me to the list of Saturday attendees. Looks like I might be going to a gig in Preston the night before, in which case I'd hope to be down in Bolton promptly on Saturday morning (temptation to indulge in a little bus-spotting beforehand notwithstanding).

- if anyone would like to buy it, what appears to be a Music 500 system which has been stored unused and untested in my collection for the thick end of fifteen years and which, with the best will in the world, I'm never likely to find the time to use going forward. I will post some photos of it (I think there are accompanying manuals and other bits and bobs) sometime this coming week; please feel free to send any expressions of interest or offers via PM once I've done that. Can't stress enough that it's untested, but it looks in good nick.

- again, if anyone would like to buy it, an Epson LX-400 printer complete with three boxes of the perforated-hole paper which it uses. I used this printer regularly up until about twenty years ago, usually in conjunction with Mini Office 2, and although it's been unused since then it appears to be in decent physical condition (other than the printing latterly became faint and the ribbon may need replacing - I presume ribbons can still be sourced, if needs be?). All leads and plugs are included. Again, I will post photos of it sometime this week, and will be happy to receive any expressions of interest or offers via PM subsequently.

Finally for now, and not previously mentioned in my earlier posts, here's something else I've dug out of attic surplus in the past few days which I can't ever envisaging me getting round to using in anger. It appears to be a teletext adaptor by RH Electronics - completely untested but in reasonable nick as far as I can ascertain. Again, do please let me know via PMs if you'd like me to bring it along to Bolton with a view to a potential purchase:
