Thought I would post this thread here incase it helps anyone in the future.

A5000 would boot, but wouldn't display anything on the screen. All continuity tests from ARM <-> VIDCC <-> MEMC all checked out fine. Problem was a broken track from one of the ROMS. Worth recording for future reference as it was a bit strange to find battery corrosion all the way over there.

BBC Master, BBC Model B, Electron, A5000, A4000, RISC PC, PIBridge, Piconet, and too many Raspberry PI's and now an A4 😁
