CBM/PET 8096 LOS96 Disk Wanted

Post by stevendt »

Hi,

I have got an IEEE cable on order for my PET 8096 8052 disk drives.

The next problem is that I don't have a copy of the LOS96 disk - does anyone out there have a PET 8096 and a copy of the LOS96 disk that they could share please?

I know there is a compressed file available on line, but I don't have a way of writing it to floppy disk.

Which leads to another question, how do people get foreign files onto PET formatted disks and/or what removable storage solutions are available these days to replace/compliment the PET floppy drives?

regards
Dave

Omniflop only seems to support the Commodore 1541 format

They're GCR (rather than MFM) encoded, and look to have variable sector sizes/numbers depending on the tracks. Seems somewhat non-trivial to write these at the moment.
