Hi Jeremy

I know the game, I used to play it a lot myself - great Mode 1 graphics. I can look it out and email you a copy if interested.
Hi Chris,

Cor, yes please to a copy of Scrumpy (if you can find it)! I still run off an original Beeb rather than any emulator, though - would it be a problem to convert it accordingly and stick it on a 5.25" at all?

Ta in advance, and do let me know if there's anything I might be able to dig up for you in return.

Cheers,
Hi Jeremy,

Firstly BIG apologies for the delay in replying - just noticed I posted my message way back in FEBRUARY! Access is rather slow on this site from my end so I tend to forget the messages I post! Anyway, you might have found it from another source but if you're still interested in SCRUMPY email me at c . r . dewhurst @ btinternet . com (remove spaces).

Christopher.

Scrumpy

Hi!

Anyone remember a wee shoot-em-up from aeons ago named Scrumpy? I've not seen it for some 15 years now, but recall it was a standard-ish 2D affair in which your lazer base moved along the bottom of the screen, firing at aliens who'd turn into apples once hit. I think the apples then fell to ground and you had to catch them to make the amount of scrumpy stipulated for the level you were on. What made the game harder was that (i) each level featured an increasingly trappy configuration of wall sections around / through which the aliens would move, (ii) if missing its initial target, any bullet fired from your base would bounce around the screen indefinitely until it hit someone (an alien OR you!), a la Tetrapod.

I might have looked straight past it whilst scouring the archives here, but I'm sure it's not there. Any offers from outside?

Cheers,

Jeremy
