Thanks for the quick reply. Shame the GODIL is no more, funny how tech is constantly evolving just as we retro computer fans want to keep the old stuff going :) I'll wait and try and buy a XC6SLX9 Mini Board before looking for all the other bits needed to make an ICE T*.

Hi Dave,

I am assuming the XC6SLX9 Mini Board will come back, so I'm looking at gathering the bits for a Z80 and 6502 setup. Some of the parts are a bit difficult to source; the 74LVC4245 were tricky and the Precidip pin to pin connectors I could only find in bulk order, typically 1,000 units. However, I'm making progress.

When it comes to the two adapter boards, do you have any blanks? If not, I will look at getting some from somebody such as JLCPCB if I am allowed to use your gerbers.

Thanks

That's rather brave of you!

It does look like the Nexperia 74LVC4545ADW is now end-of-life and unavailable. But I think TI still have these parts in production. The TI part number is SN74LVC4245ADW. Mouser and Digikey have plenty in stock. Just make sure you get the 7.5mm wide SOIC package (DW).

Header option 1 (the PreciDIP header) is avalable at Digikey

Header option 2 (the PreciDIP socket) is available at RS. The additional turned-pin header strips don't have to be PreciDIP. There are plenty of these on ebay: (e.g. seller switch_elec)

Yes, I have a few of each left.

I was selling these are £10 each (inc UK postage), but I could do the pair for £15 (inc UK postage). PM me if interested.

Otherwise you can order from JLC.

Hi Dave,

Rather brave, you say? Better than being disappointed (bitterly!) when I wait some more and find the parts are all gone when the EEPIZZA boards finally come back :D . I've been burnt a few times before, so now I grab semiconductor parts as soon as possible. It's not an extreme loss if the EEPIZZA boards fail to show up.

Thanks for the support.

Hello Dave

I was looking for an 6809 ICE and stumbled over the GODIL-project and got quite high, and then realized, that it was no longer available.
Then some the links brought me to this forum and the ICE T65/Z80/6809 channel.
There only seems to be an adapter for 6809E using XC6SLX9 Mini Board.
Will there be a 6809/6309 adapter available ??
Can this be used ??:

or with XC6SLX16 :

Best regards

Sorry, I'm not planning on doing one.

No, both those boards are physically very different to the eepizza board.

Unfortunately, Xilinx's pricing on the Spartan 6 line has pretty much killed this project (and many others).

Hi Dave

Sorry, I should have asked differently:

Does the 6809 support both 6809 and 6809E ??
Will you add support for the Hitachi 6309 ??

The 6809E CPU Adapter only support the 6809E (external clock) version.

I don't have any plans to support the 6309 at the moment. This is because for debugging of 6309 systems, find the 6809 / 6309 Protocol Decoder more useful, as it's non intrusive and easier to debug long running programs. For example, I was able to debug bringing up Fuzix on a new 6309 based SBC.

In case you are not aware of this project, here are some links:
