A310 SCART cable

Post by a1exh »

I see a lot of RGB SCART cables on eBay and the likes and they all have A30x0 only written on the listings.

Is this because the A310 9-pin video port can't provide the voltage for the RGB enable (pin 16) on the SCART?

No sure why that'd be, but I can tell you that we had a monitor connected to out A310 via SCART back in the day. I think it was the AKF11, the non-multisync one that was 'Archimedes' badged at the time.

This one V

Many tellys won't switch to SCART without sufficient V on RGB enable.

I make a small modification on the motherboard to make pin 5 a switch signal with a resistor of about 33 ohms to 5 Volt. Pin 5 is than connected to pin 16 of the SCART Plug.

Thanks for input. Someone has "loaned" me an "A310 SCART cable" which came with an "A3000" adapter dongle. I'll give it a go when I can find a few minutes
