Hi all...
Anyone tried the Speech! ROM by superior software in the BBC Model B's ROM socket and try loading from SD card when using the TurboMMC?
I find that the TurboMMC won't launch any games from the SD card games menu... Any attempt to load a game by pressing enter and it throws the following error... 'bad string'.
If I remove the Speech! ROM from the ROM socket on my motherboard then games I can load from SD card again. Anyone know what's going on?
I did note some incompatibilities with the Speech! ROM with some software after reading on the forums, but never found anything relating to the TurboMMC games menu not loading when the Speech! ROM is plugged in.

Sounds like the issue described here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=26699 - Speech! cheekily using tape/serial workspace when processing * commands.
