I finally managed to find a NeXTcube, a machine I’ve wanted to own for a very long time. It wasn’t cheap, but I’ve been saving and you only live once. It’s a 68040 25Mhz model with 16MB. I don’t have the megapixel crt to go with it but I do have the keyboard and mouse, both of which are in really good condition.
There’s limited room in the loft for it at the moment so it’s going to live on the landing on top of the other daft machine. Here’s a tower of (noisy) power (guzzlers).

Re: NeXTcube
There’s a replacement for the Soundbox that NeXTcubes use as a hub called an NU_IO. One of these is on the way from the US as well as a suitable splitter cable.
I’ve no real plan for the machine other than explore NextStep and install the internet from 1990 onto it. And maybe add a sticker saying DON’T POWER OFF

Re: NeXTcube
very nice machine. Will you show us the emulated Beeb running on it?
Re: NeXTcube
If there is a beeb emulator for it (doubt it) then I will give it a whirl and report back.

Great, I’ll be sure to give that a whirl
Re: NeXTcube
Very nice purchase! I now have workstation envy, particularly with the SGI as well. I always wanted an Indy but wouldn’t actually know what to do with it.
When are you opening your museum?
