Hello,
Well, the title says it all, really!
The password for the level is 'TIPTOP'.
There are 2 drills, each of which can drill 3 walls.
However, the way I see it, I need to drill 7 walls.
1 wall for the puzzle piece caught in an alcove on the left of the level.
2 walls for the puzzle piece in a vertical tunnel.
3 walls to get the two puzzle pieces out from the little maze area.
1 wall to be able to push out the four puzzle pieces in the top-right starting area.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Triax

Sorry, Jonathan -- that video is Level 2 of SLIPPER, the first game file. This topic is about Level 2 of ARTIST, the third and final file. (For the record -- in case anyone reading this wonders why I've been silent on the topic -- LordTriax also posted this as a private message to me on YouTube, and after looking at the level I responded that I had run into the same impossible situation and don't see how to get round it.)

Ah!. Another game that has level sets!!
It would appear then that this level you're both stuck on is the Clogger version of 'Enliven'!! (Finale B)

Re: Clogger (can't complete level 2 of 'Artist')!
I thought i'd give this Level a try today as the football was off. I agree with the other posters this level is impossible to complete. I studied the map for a long time, trying various alternatives and swapping over the drillls and so on, but each and every potential route I came up with, fell flat on it's face needing 7 drills and only have 6 available.
So I have come to the conclusion that this level is impossible to complete, and that the play testing/checking of this game wasn't very thorough etither.
I do wish there was a beep or something when you put a puzzle piece in the correct place, would be nice especially on this level which isn't the easiest of pictures to assemble.
Cheers
Matthew

Does that mean that you did get through the first Artist level??
Looking at the map, it seems impossible - not enough drills to clear the necessary walls and get rid of the lawnmower after use ...
No spoilers (at this stage) but some confirmation that it is possible would be a start ...

REPTON 2 IS ENDED
Re: Clogger (can't complete level 2 of 'Artist')!
We investigated this in another thread. The original screen seems to be impossible but the ProAction rerelease was subtly modified so that less drilling is required.
Re: Clogger (can't complete level 2 of 'Artist')!
Well, I have now completed Level 1 (goodness if that's only the first level ) so on to the potentially impossible Level 2 - I've double checked the ProAction version and the difference looks like it resolves the issue Triax was talking about, but we shall see ...
Wish me luck

Re: Clogger (can't complete level 2 of 'Artist')!
Done it!
(Actually found Level 1 more taxing)
Yes, the fault, as had been variously established, was in the original version of the game.
The ProAction version changed one thing in level 2, making it completable.
The ProAction version is available on the BBC Micro Arcive ...
So let jubilations ring out
IT CAN BE DONE!!
Thanks to Triax for the helpful thread (and for confirming that level 1 was completable - I had my doubts)
Now goodness knows what horrors lie in store in level 3 ...
