HTML remake of Merlin's Castle

Post by joachim »

Merlin's Castle, the more-complex (and more-unfair) of the two games in Anita Straker's "educational" (meaning, aimed at children) adventure package, has been converted to HTML by Aimee Daniells and made available at http://merlinscastle.net/.

It's a nice conversion ... too bad the game is full of ways to die instantly without warning, and areas you get stuck in if you didn't bring the right object with you.

Nice presentation. Nice work using jQuery. The attachment shows new and old side by side.

By any chance, do you know how long it took to make?

Is this game still around - So long ago the site has gone. Archive.org has the first couple of pages but you can't proceed any further. Just wondering out of curiosity.

Kneel before my google-fu: https://github.com/aimeerivers/merlin-web

(deployment doesn't appear to be up, but source code is presumably all there)
